Oppose the butchery of surestart children’s centres

Liverpool Against the Cuts condemns the proposed closure of the Surestart centres, as does TUSC. LAC also condemns the invitation to Mayor Anderson, the butcher of Liverpool services, to attend the opening event of Unite HQ Jack Jones House, on Friday 30 January at 1pm. His attendance at the HQ of workers who are opposing his policies would constitute a grave insult to those fighting cuts and would be seen as legitimising the Council’s relentless butchery of our services.

  1. Liverpool Pensioners Convention voted, almost unanimously, at their meeting on the 21st February, to demonstrate their opposition to Joe Anderson’s invitation to the ceremony at Jack Jones House on the 30th. They have decided to demonstrate, both inside and outside the building.
